Make Wood Pellets from Pellet Extruder

A pellet extruder compresses readily raw materials to produce wood pellets. These materials may include wood chips and sawdust among other available materials. It is commonly referred to as pellet press or wood pellet extruder. Pellet extruders come in different sizes. They range from 3 kilowatt to 375 kilowatt extruders. They can produce from 90 kilograms to 8 tons of wood pellets per hour.

There are two types of pellet extruder: Strengthening Wet Extruder and Dry Type Extruder.

• Strengthening Wet Extruder – this extruder is mainly used to keep rice bran fresh and detoxifying processes of Cotton Dreg. The stainless feeder has an anti-hog speed and a variable frequency. This can easily prevent materials from arching and increase the accuracy of feeding into the extruder. The main shaft is flexible to different extruding processes; for example, extruding soybean, corn and fertilizer.

• Dry Extruder - it is mainly used to extrude corn, feather power, and meat-bone powder. It may also be used to keep rice bran fresh and detoxify cotton processes. It is easy to maintain.

A pellet extruder uses in-built rollers to press the raw materials. A cooler is used to eliminate the heat produced during the pressing. The wood pellets created share similar characteristics. These pellets are utilized by industrial boilers and pellet stoves.
